Ivor Reveley
With enormous sadness we share the news that our friend and colleague Ivor Reveley died unexpectedly last weekend.
Ivor had been working with 4i Solutions for many years and joined us as a Shareholder in January 2017 as Director of People Development. Ivor brought to us his passion, talent and professional expertise in people development, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, his insight into organisational and individual behaviours, and his passion for perfect grammar and use of punctuation.
But beyond what he did, we will miss the man he was. He was funny, kind, infectious, and unflinchingly generous. Ivor sought to help everyone improve, to reach their potential. He brought out the best in people and pushed them (gently but firmly) beyond their comfort zones. He believed in the strength of teamwork, and explained complex issues simply, and with a cheeky smile. This made him fantastic to know, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Ivor was a gentleman in the truest sense. To say he will be missed is a massive understatement.
Nick, Steve, and all at 4i Solutions are deeply shocked and saddened at this sudden loss. He was much more of a friend, mentor and teacher to us than just a colleague, and we sincerely offer our condolences to Ivor’s wife Chris and their sons Matthew and Luke, as well as his many friends.
As a final point, Nick, Steve and the 4i team would like to thank the many of you that have passed on such kind words of support and heartfelt reflections for the loss of our amazing friend, which we are sharing with Ivor’s family. They really mean a lot to us and I am sure they would have brought a huge grin to Ivor’s face if he had read them.
In recent weeks Ivor had been preparing a group of runners, walkers, cyclists and rowers for a ‘fourdaysrunning’ event to fundraise for CASPA, an organisation very close to his heart. In his honour the team have decided the event will still go ahead on 4th May, and you can read more about the 120km challenge here.
In anticipation of the event, Ivor had set up a page for donations and sponsorship for the charity he cared so much for. We would now like to invite you to support this in his memory, so please feel free to go to his page on https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/revivor
